After this tour ends, get ready for a transfer back to your hotel.
The ride down to Sakkara takes place south of Cairo; it was here that the great necropolis of Memphis, the Old Capital of Egypt, developed around the most ancient pyramid known in all Egypt. Here can be visited the stepping pyramid built by Zoser and generally considered to be the first pyramid ever built as well as being the oldest stone building extant. The plan also has provisions for visiting Imhotep Museum and Mereruka and Kagemni tombs.
