"The entire treasure of Tutankhamun finally at the GEM"
The Grand Egyptian Museum has already attracted record numbers of visitors. Egyptologist Pirelli: "Finally, a fitting space for Egyptian civilization."
Called the “Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM),” it is billed as the “largest archaeological museum in the world,” and features some 100,000 pieces covering nearly seven millennia of Egypt’s history from pre-dynastic times to the Greek and Roman periods.
The Grand Egyptian Museum hosted the International Conference on Crisis Culture 2025, organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK in collaboration with the British Council in Cairo.
To mark World Autism Awareness Day, GEM switched on its blue lights for the third year in a row, reaffirming its commitment to working with the international community to promote autism inclusion and raise public awareness of autism.
