Great Pyramid of Giza (Khufu Pyramid)

We go to the Great Pyramid of Giza; you see it up close, feel its magnificence. The Giza pyramid complex does have a valley temple too, now under the village of Nazlet-Saman; though diabase paving stones and limestone walls have been found, this site has not yet been excavated.

Pyramid of Khafre

The valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, the mortuary temple and the king’s pyramid are parts of Khafre’s pyramid complex. In 1860 Mariette discovered several statues of Khafre in a well on the floor of this temple. It is considered to be one of the most unique structures that is still standing since it has its outer casing at the apex.
