Grand Egyptian Museum
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM; Arabic: المتحف المصرى الكبير al-Matḥaf al-Maṣriyy al-Kabīr), commonly referred to as the Giza Museum, is an archaeological museum currently under construction in Giza, Egypt, situated approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. This museum is set to showcase more than 100,000 artifacts from the ancient Egyptian civilization, including the entire collection of Tutankhamun, with many items being exhibited for the first time. Covering a floor area of 81,000 m² (872,000 sq ft), it will become the largest archaeological museum in the world. The establishment of this museum is part of a broader master plan for the Giza Plateau, designated as "Giza 2030.
