The Grand Egyptian Museum hosted a group of students from the School of Hearing Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, in line with its general policy of encouraging community participation and breaking down barriers between different segments.
The visit comes as part of the museum's efforts to provide learning and cultural packages to all segments of society, enabling them to experience Egypt's great heritage. The visit included a tailor-made programme where interactive tours were enhanced by the use of sign language interpretation.
This method enabled the students to adequately interact with and understand the exhibits, thereby encouraging innovation and creativity.
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Chief Executive Officer of the Grand Egyptian Museum, said that the programme is a way to offer social inclusion at the museum in its efforts to promote cultural dialogue between different groups for wider participation in enjoying and appreciating Egypt's cultural heritage.
